On Mother's Day, we provided Baby Bottles and we will be collecting the Baby Bottles on Father's Day. Please place your change and your prayers in the Baby Bottles for the CareNet Pregnancy Center as they train men and women in abstinence. Thank you. We sponsor CareNet Pregnancy
Resource Center in Keene NH. Our budgeted donation goes directly towards
education and abstinence information. You may visit their website at:
Pregnancy Center of the Monadnock Region April 2008 Dear Ministry Partner, I am happy to report that the ultrasound machine has arrived safely and Dr. Solano, our medical director, is impressed with the new model. We are so grateful for the commitment and patience of the individuals who agreed three years ago to buy the machine on behalf of Care Net. It was very exciting to finally be able to tell them we were ready to make the purchase. So many pieces of the "ultrasound puzzle 'are in place and we continue toward the goal of providing limited ultrasound services to our clients. With the renovations now complete, the Center is professional yet personal and inviting. It is wonderful to have such a comfortable waiting room, tranquil counseling and exam rooms and welcoming boutique for our clients. We are so very blessed by this new space....what a gift! Yet there is one major piece missing: the medical personnel to perform the scans. I am reminded of the Christmas when my whole family gathered in my living room to put together a puzzle. They set up a large table in the center of the room, brought in dining room chairs, gathered all the lamps stripping them of their shades and then instructed me not to vacuum or sweep until every piece of the puzzle as in its proper place. You can imagine the disappointment when after a week of working on the puzzle, a piece was missing. Though the picture was certainly recognizable with out that piece, it seemed incomplete. Finally, after days of searching the whole house, the important piece was found and the picture was finished. Following the advice other centers who have been through this process and the medical guidelines set forth by Dr. Solano, we are looking for a combination of volunteers and part time paid staff to fulfill this ministry need. We are seeking medical personnel who are committed Christians with a strong dedication to the sanctity of life and sexual purity. Professional qualifications include at least two years of continuous medical education, licensed in New Hampshire, and a willingness to comply with continuing education requirements. Understanding that the Center has a team management approach to serving our clients is crucial for any person joining Care Net. Once our ministry-minded medical people are in place, then our ultrasound puzzle will be completed! It is important for Care Net PCMR to provide services that are relevant to the needs of today's clients. However, since Care Net is more than a social agency, we seek to address more than their outward needs. The use of ultrasound will not only provide our clients with important information they need in order to make a truly informed choice, but it will also provide us with greater opportunity to share God's message of life and truth - hoping to help our precious clients find the missing piece to their own "life puzzle". (603) 358-6460 Pregnancy Center of the Monadnock Region August 2007 Dear Ministry Partner, In April of this year, I received a call from a man who told me that he and his partner were planning to purchase a building in Keene and they wanted to offer the second floor office space to Care Net. It turns out that the realtor selling his property was a former client advocate for Care Net and she represented a Christian business man. Then a local contractor with a heart for the ministry volunteered his services for any renovations that might be needed. It looked as though we were finally on our way to a new location that would accommodate the necessary expansion of our services in order to better meet the changing needs of our clients. Now, at mid August, we have moved out of our 151 West Street office, but not officially into our new space on Washington Street. I had hoped that the details that our new landlords have been working out with the city would be in place by now and we could make an official announcement to Care Net supporters, our clients' and community agencies. However, since it has not worked out that way, I decided that it is time to bring our family and friends up to date with where we are - literally. During this time of transition, the Center is not open to see clients, however Marty and I are checking messages regularly and handling the administrative duties of the ministry from a room at the new location. Since we anticipated a temporary closing in order to renovate and relocate, we were able to notify most of our clients beforehand. While we are working to prepare the new location, we are referring clients in need of a pregnancy test or options information to the Care Net in Brattleboro. Our new mailing address is PO Box 612 Keene, NH 03431and our phone number remains the same: 358-6460. To be perfectly honest, nothing about the growth of the ministry is going the way I envisioned. In my plan, the transition was much easier and the process was not so long. My plan was to move into a newly renovated office space, not its basement. I imagined that after being temporarily closed, we would have an open house to reveal the new, larger Center, not to have a post office box as our new mailing address. And I was excited to offer expanded services to our clients by summer's end, not refer them to the closest Care Net Center for help. I am sure that Joshua's plan to capture Jericho did not include marching around the city blowing trumpets. Gideon never would have thought to choose his army according to the way they drank water from the river. The twelve disciples wouldn't have planned the death of their beloved Teacher in order to spend eternity with Him. From the beginning of my involvement with Care Net, the Lord's ways and plans for the ministry continually amaze me. I am constantly reminded that whether I understand them or not, the Lord's plans are always perfect. They always include life, victory and surrender - of my ways and my will. And though it is sometimes with fear and trembling, choosing to follow Him when we don't see or know the exact plan, is the surest way to go, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD. Isaiah 55:9. Thank you for remaining steadfast in your support of Care Net and this amazing ministry journey! Embracing His Way, Pam Cheever Look for a re'opening date in mid September |
