Question: How can I tell if someone’s been Born Again?

Answer: Sometimes we care so much how things are done, we lose track of what is being done.

The How

 22They came to Bethsaida, and some people brought a blind man and begged Jesus to touch him.

Mark 8:22

 13Some Jews who went around driving out evil spirits tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who were demon-possessed. They would say, "In the name of Jesus, whom Paul preaches, I command you to come out." 14Seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this. 15(One day) the evil spirit answered them, "Jesus I know, and I know about Paul, but who are you?"

23He took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. When He had spit on the man's eyes and put His hands on him, Jesus asked, "Do you see anything?"24He looked up and said, "I see people; they look like trees walking around." 25Once more Jesus put His hands on the man's eyes. Question: What was Jesus thinking?

Affirmation: Jesus was thinking how our mindset can derail our relationship with God.

Yeast of the Pharisees

 1Meanwhile, when a crowd of many thousands had gathered, so that they were trampling on one another, Jesus began to speak first to His disciples, saying: "Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

1Then Jesus said to the crowds and to His disciples: 2"The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat. 3So you must obey them and do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach.

"True Signs and Wonders"

Question: Why does God allow me to fall into the same situations over and over again?

Affirmation: God will continue to bring us up against what holds us back in growth until we deal with is through Him.

Situation

2"I have compassion for these people; they have already been with me three days and have nothing to eat. 3If I send them home hungry, they will collapse on the way, because some of them have come a long distance."

Mark 8:2-3

35By this time it was late in the day, so His disciples came to Him. "This is a remote place," they said, "and it's already very late. 36Send the people away so they can go to the surrounding countryside and villages and buy themselves something to eat."  37But He answered, "You give them something to eat."

Solution

 5"How many loaves do you have?" Jesus asked.  "Seven," they replied. 6He told the crowd to sit down on the ground. When He had taken the seven loaves and given thanks, He broke them and gave them to His disciples to set before the people, and they did so. 7They had a few small fish as well; He gave thanks for them also and told the disciples to distribute them. 8The people ate and were satisfied. Afterward the disciples picked up seven basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over Mark 8:5-8

Question: Why does Jesus do such foolish thing with the deaf mute?

Answer: To Jesus the miracle is always secondary to the man.

Answer: Jesus is laying out God’s plan for the redemption of all humanity.

The Pleading

 24Jesus left that place and went to the vicinity of Tyre. He entered a house and did not want anyone to know it; yet He could not keep His presence secret.

How to Gain Lift

Question: What is the Ascension all about?

Affirmation: Jesus has now taken His place above all the world so that, through us, He can go to all the world

What Jesus Did

"When the Spirit Hits You"

Answer: The church, as the Body of Christ, has an intimate contact with God’s Spirit shown in true worship.

When David had fled and made his escape, he went to Samuel at Ramah and told him all that Saul had done to him. Then he and Samuel went to Naioth and stayed there.

Why do I feel so spiritually tired and overwhelmed?

God never intended us to carry our life's burden by our self but, to walk with Him.

Burdened
Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life.  It will produce thorns and thistles for you and you will eat the plants of the field.  By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return.                Genesis 3:17-19

Result
This water flows toward the eastern region, goes down into the valley and enters the sea, its waters are healed and it shall be that every living thing that moves, wherever the rivers go, will live.  There will be a very great multitude of fish, because the waters go there; for they will be healed, and everything will live wherever the river goes.
